Does UNIphant do business with non-Christians?

UNIphant Enterprises does not refuse or avoid business from non-Christians but its efforts are focused on Christian markets. UNIphant Enterprises refuses business that is incompatible with its social responsibility statement. UNIphant Enterprises refuses any and all business transactions that involve pornographic, obscene, or otherwise significantly offensive material or products. This includes but is not limited to anything that is obviously inconsistent with Biblical principles, values, and teachings.  Meanwhile, as Christians, we must all remember that we are to be 'in the world but not of the world.'  In order that we may witness to non-Christians, we must be careful to not completely disassociate ourselves from them.

What is that symbol in your web page backgrounds?

That is an ichthus, a stylized symbol of a fish. This was used by early Christians to identify themselves.

The fish was an early symbol of Christianity, since the Greek word for fish, ichthus, is an acronym (the first letter of each word) for the Greek phrase Iesous Christos Theou Huios Soter, which means "Jesus Christ, of God the Son, Savior." It was written as graffiti and was used as a secret password when Christians were being persecuted by the Romans. The version used here contains the Greek symbols themselves inside.

The file is called ichthus.jpg and you may use it if you like.

Please visit the DPMI web site to see a copy of the appropriate legal and financial records and to learn more about this Christian ministry.

Are all the businesses in the resource directory Christian?

While it is the intention of UNIphant to promote and favor Christian-owned businesses, it is sometimes necessary to work with secular companies (and even government agencies).  It is our desire to add more Christian-owned companies to the directory (see next question).

We do have a policy of not dealing with companies who conduct business in ways that are incompatible with our statement of faith. Companies will be removed from the directory if this is found to be the case.

Can I use the resource directory to do things myself rather than buying UNIphant services?

Though you could use these and/or similar resources to "do it yourself" in some cases, our customers realize that their own internal people resources are limited.  "Outsourcing" Internet-related tasks to UNIphant allows them to leverage those resources in ways focused more directly on their business and area of expertise. This is a classic make-or-buy decision for business leaders. Is it worth hiring or training to get the right experience and knowledge needed to transform the raw materials (basic, readily available services/products) into what is needed for my business (an innovative, effective, and affordable electronic commerce or evangelism solution)?  By providing the resource directory, we permit and encourage each organization to make this decision in a way which they feel best enables reaching their business goals.

How do I know which service meets my needs without reading every description?

We invite you to take advantage of our Problem Solver Page. On that page you will find a chart of our services cross-indexed to the needs we often recognize in our clients' businesses and organizations. If you place your cursor over a "point here" square, a little note should pop up to explain how that service can help with that need. If you would like more information about that service, click on that "point here" square.

Non-Profit Organizations will probably find our Non-Profit Problem Solver Page more suited to their needs. It works the same way.

What discounts does UNIphant provide for Christian non-profit organizations?

Christian organizations (only) are eligible to purchase specially-priced services and packages (on the SPIRITUAL-e™ Services Page) and will be required to provide proof of non-profit status and Christian commitment. Purchase requires that a copy of your IRS 501(c)3 approval letter (for churches only, a copy of your state tax-exempt paperwork may be substituted) and a copy of your Christian statement of faith be faxed to UNIphant Enterprises at 507-242-0821 before work begins.
